Baby it's cold outside

I've been such a slacker, both with the running and blogging. But, Baby it's cold outside. Fear no more, I have a race on Sunday. It's the jingle bell run 5k to benefit the Arthritis Foundation. The runners and walkers get actual bells to tie to our shoes; how cool is that? It'll be my first winter race. I hope it goes well. My last race a few weeks ago didn't go too well. That race was my slowest 5k ever; and afterwards I had some right knee/IT band inflammation that lasted about 3-4 days; ugggh. But I've missed my running, I need to put my winter plan into action. Did I mention I miss my running? On the flip side, I don't miss waking early for Sunday runs. Hmmm, sleep, I do love sleeping in.

I'm excited about the race Sunday, let's hope I don't oversleep. Ahhh, sleep.

Somebody, stop me!

Tonight is the third night in a row I'm eating birthday cake (not mine) after 10 PM. Cake and coffee, mmmmm. I gotta have my vices.

Wondergirl

I ran the 1st annual Wondergirl 5k last Saturday morning. There was so many young girls running the race, awesome! The best part was finishing on the field at Toyota Park, how cool!
